The Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium provides an awe-inspiring setting for your wedding, taking you and your guests on a voyage to the edges of the universe in a spectacular 360 degree cinematic experience.
The Rocket Tower and Space Race offer a glimpse of times past and hopes of fantastical futures, while our six space-themed galleries excite and inspire with stunning imagery and hands-on exhibits.

Ceremony
The National Space Centre boasts a variety of romantic locations for your civil ceremony, perfect for you to share your special day with friends and family.
The Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium is an awe-inspiring setting, taking you and up to 192 guests on a voyage to the edge of the universe in a spectacular 360-degree cinematic experience.
If you wish to have an intimate wedding ceremony we have other locations within the National Space Centre for up to 22.
Real Weddings
Wedding Reception
Excite and inspire your guests by hosting your wedding reception amongst unique artefacts and exhibits in our space themed galleries.
When you hire the National Space Centre for your evening celebration, we close our doors to the public and give you exclusive use of the entire venue.
The galleries can seat between 50-300 guests for a formal seat down wedding breakfast and up to 500 guests for a more informal celebration. You and your guests are free to explore, dance and celebrate in one of the UK’s most unique setting. We are a fully licensed, 7 days a week venue with the option to stay open until 1am.
Drinks Reception
Give your guests a wow factor with the iconic 42-meter-high Rocket Tower at the National Space Centre, which is home to Blue Streak and Thor Able rockets, as well as the Gagarin experience, Apollo Lunar and real moon rock.
Enjoy space cocktails served on a bed of dry ice, or a champagne reception and canapes in this unique backdrop.
Food
All our catering is prepared onsite by our team of chefs using locally sourced ingredients.
With a selection of menus to choose from; a three-course sit-down meal, to a Hot fork buffet for your wedding day. We can design bespoke menus for your special day.
Wedding Proposals
Our proposal package has been designed to provide you with everything you need for the perfect wedding proposal under the stars.
Package Includes:
- One hour exclusive use of the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium
- 20 minute planetarium show
- A bespoke message projected onto the dome after the show
- Use of in-house pa system for your chosen music
